News, Events, and County History

Claude Sisco Deen Jr.
April 18, 1940 – August 31, 2023

Sisco Deen was born in Bunnell Florida. He traveled the world during the Air Force, married, had three children and then moved back to Flagler County. He would meet his soulmate, Gloria McArn Deen, and together they immersed themselves into history. Literally, their history is the history of Flagler County. Sisco’s archives, collections of maps, pictures, and work in the Flagler County Historical Society will forever influence and inform researchers and history buffs for generations to come.
