Kate Curtis is one of those reliable people who go above and beyond for the Society. She migrated from New Jersey 6 years ago and started volunteering. She worked in New York City and retired from an insurance company before moving to Palm Coast.
Kate leads the organization of historical documents in the office and is the sunshine representative for all of us. She helps with the Speaker Series, shops for office materials, and more.
Thank you Kate. You’re the best and we love you.
The mission statement of the Palm Coast Historical Society is the collection, preservation, and dissemination of material related to the history of the City of Palm Coast and its people.
Folks, This is where you come in…
At the Research Office and Museum, preserving and organizing historical resources is the name of the game. We have thousands of photographs, maps, and documents that require care and time to be preserved. Whatever your skill level, expertise, or background, we can find a project for you that is both interesting and supportive of this overall mission statement.
Some of our current projects are research, writing, digitizing pictures and slides, publicity, special events, and museum docents. We will help you with the training process!
For whichever project you decide to choose, we will help you get started by providing work instructions and answering any questions you may have. The training process usually takes a few hours and after that, you’ll be ready.
